Every workplace has one. The person who gets everyone together, starts the Christmas party group chat and somehow ends up collecting everybody’s menu choices.

Our Christmas party nights at The Lion Hotel in Belper bring together festive food, a disco and the chance to spend an evening with your colleagues when nobody needs to talk about next week’s deadlines. Unless they really want to.
From the office to the dance floor
The best work Christmas parties give everyone a chance to relax, enjoy a meal and discover which colleague has been hiding some surprisingly enthusiastic dance moves.
Our Christmas disco party nights run on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm, during our festive evening programme from 28th November to 24th December 2026.
Thursday party nights are £36 per person, while Friday and Saturday nights are £40 per person. Gather your colleagues, choose a date and give yourselves something to look forward to as the year draws to a close.
Christmas jumpers? We’ll leave that decision to the group chat.
A Christmas meal worth closing the laptop for
There’s plenty to tempt you on our three-course festive evening menu.
Start with duck and orange pâté, beetroot and feta tart, maple roasted carrot soup or Scottish smoked salmon bruschetta. Then settle into a roast turkey dinner with a pig in blanket, stuffing and gravy, or choose from pheasant breast, baked salmon and mushroom, chestnut and sage nut roast.
And do save room for dessert. Traditional Christmas pudding, lemon tart, dark chocolate and cherry cheesecake, or English custard tart could make that decision rather difficult.
Prefer a catch-up without the disco?
If your ideal Christmas gathering involves more conversation than choreography, our festive dinners without a disco run Sunday to Wednesday from 6pm, at £36 per person.
They’re a lovely excuse to get friends or colleagues around the table before December’s diaries become a juggling act.
